Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Monday, April 28, 2014, Gilbert Thomas Hillier of Colliers - Age 83 years, (Korean War Veteran 1952-1955). Predeceased by his wife Nell; parents John and Lucy Hillier; sons: William, Gary and Gilbert Jr.; and brother Roy Hillier. Left with fond and loving memories his sons: Don (Madonna), Jason (Billie Jo), and Paddy; daughters: Patsy (Henry Jewer), Liz (Garry England), Linda (Rick Phillips), and Jeannette; grandchildren: James, Krista and Serrina Hillier; Riley and Coady Hillier; Gilbert Jr., Vanessa and Miranda Jewer; Christopher, Vicky and Gatlyn England; Ricky and Lindsay Phillips; and Helen Hillier; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers: Don Hillier (Doris) and family, and Fred Hillier and family; sister Maude (Jim Anstey) and family; sister-in-law Edith (Roy Hillier deceased) and family; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Conception Harbour with visitation on Saturday, May 3rd from 2pm-9pm and Sunday, May 4th from 2pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 5th, 2014, at 10:30 am from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers with cremation to follow.
