DOUGHERTY (GORMAN), RENA ETHEL - It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Rena E. Dougherty, age 86, formerly of Fredericton, NB sadly announce her passing at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB on March 19, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Flora (Russell) Timms, and predeceased by her 1st husband A.A.”Tack” Gorman as well as her 2nd husband William Irvine Dougherty. Rena was employed as a Clerk for Joe Stone’s Photography for many years. She was an avid reader, loved crocheting, knitting and especially photography. Survived by her children Penny Spragg (Art), Ellen Hyde (Wendell), Don Dougherty (Elinor), Mark Gorman (Joanne), Mike Gorman and Gerald Gorman (Nancy); brother Gerald “Sonny” Timms; sisters Peggy Rickard and Betti Linton; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant brother Marcus.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the All Saints Anglican Church, Marysville with Canon John Cathcart officiating. Interment to follow in the Penniac Cemetery. For those who wish memorials may be made to the Nashwaak Villa or the Diabetes Association. The family wish to thank friends, doctors, nurses and staff of Nashwaak Villa for their love, care and support shown to our Mom during this difficult time.
