LEGER, EDGAR E. - 1934 - 2014 - Edgar E. Leger, 79, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Born in Point-du-Chêne on October 18th, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Anna-May (Gallant) Leger. Edgar retired as a school bus driver with district #2. Edgar will be sadly missed by his wife, Micheline E. (Gagné) Leger; a daughter: Janice Bernard (Denis) of Shediac Cape; two sons: Morris (Joanne) of Shediac, Joseph (Leanna) of Meadowbrook; two sisters: Jean Boudreau (Frank) of Point-du-Chêne, Barbara LeBlanc of Shediac; three brothers: Gerald (Dorothy) of Point-du-Chêne, Richard of Shediac, Donald (Heather) of Aurora ON; five grandchildren: Mathieu, Ryan, Chelsi, Candice and Kayla; two great-grandchildren: Liam and Ariane; one son in law: Ricky Foster of Grand-Barachois. Edgar was predeceased by a daughter Elizabeth “Betty” Foster (2012); two sisters: Pauline and Elizabeth; two brothers: Raymond and Francis.
As per his request, there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church at Point-du-Chêne on Monday, May 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. In Edgar’s memory, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
