Ruth Dorothy "Dot" Dunklee-Luke - 101, formerly of Grafton, Kings County, Nova Scotia passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Grand View Manor, Berwick, Nova Scotia. Born in Grafton, she was the daughter of the late William Ruben and Lizzie Belle (White) Pearson. She was a member and first Deaconess of the First Baptist Church in Melrose, Massachusetts. She is survived by a son, Gerald R. (Cheryel) Dunklee, Epping, New Hampshire; a daughter, Jean (James) West, Grafton; four grandchildren, Gerald W. (Robyn Plattel) Dunklee and Mark Dunklee, James (Tammy) West Jr. and Julie West Manning (Michael Phillips); six great grandchildren, Monique Spreight, Andrew, Connor and Hunter Dunklee, Mackenzie and Samantha West. She was predeceased by husbands, Raymond Dunklee and Clifton Luke; two sisters, Evelyn Nickerson and Alberta Armstrong. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. There was a celebration of Dot's life for family and close friends on her 102nd birthday, Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grafton Methodist Cemetery with Reverend Sarah Scott officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
