It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Ace C. Haines on Saturday, May 10th, 2014 at his ­family residence in Deer Lake, NL at the age of 65 years. Leaving to mourn with fond & loving memories, his daughters: Christina Haines (grandson William), Rhonda (Sheldon Gordon) and families; his mother, Eva Haines; his brothers: Brian (Fay), Chris; sisters: Geraldine (Dan Coombs), May (Reg Hancock), Rhonda (Desmond Burridge); special friend/companion, Vida Payne. Ace was predeceased by his wife, Audrey (nee Harris) and his father, Albert. He also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Burial to follow at the United Church section of Deer Lake Interdenominational, Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL. In lieu of flowers, ­donations in Ace's memory can be made to St. Paul's United Church Building Fund or to a charity of one’s choice and would be gratefully ­appreciated by the families.
