Alma Frenette
FRENETTE, ALMA - Alma Frenette, 96, of Moncton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday evening May 12, 2014 at her residence. Born on February 14, 1918 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Rosana (Roy) Gauvin. Alma was a beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and an inspiration to all. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially by her daughters: Joanne LaBonté, Yvette Gormley (Bob) of Arizona, USA, Pauline Barton (Bob), Denise Frenette of Toronto, ON, Louise Deware (Jim), Cécile Frenette (Paul) and Suzanne Frenette; one son, Jean “Johnny” (Lynne) of Moncton; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alma was known for her great generosity, her many talents as a baker, sewer, quilter, neighbourhood, “doctor”, “nurse” and not least of all, her great love for photography of all events. She was a former member of the Club d’Âge d’Or Notre-Dame-de-Grâce where she attended and enjoyed many events. She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien; one son, Adrien Jr; three sisters: Sara, Elise and Léda; five brothers: Arthur, Alyre, Aubin, Amédée and Wilfred.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday from 6 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Friday May 16, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Alma, a contribution to the N.B. Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the N.B.
