Carter Asbell

ASBELL, CARTER STUART ANDERSON - 1995-2014 - Carter Asbell of Woodstock, NB tragically passed away May 14, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Beloved son of David and Gail (Anderson) Asbell, best big brother in the world to Mason, and grandson of Marilyn Asbell and Eugene and Judith Anderson, all of Woodstock. Cherished nephew to Glenn and Dana (Anderson) Piercy (Quispamsis, NB). Carter was Born September 10, 1995 in Woodstock, NB. He was predeceased by his grandfather, L. Stuart Asbell and Uncle Scott Asbell. Carter was an excellent student, having been a 2013 Honours Graduate of Woodstock High School, and had just completed a very successful first year of Science studies at UNB Fredericton. An athlete, Carter was committed to his fitness regime. Always very competitive, he was a great teammate and team leader who loved to play hockey and soccer (and hated to lose). He also enjoyed biking and longboarding with his buddies (and he always wore his helmet ..or so he said!). He enjoyed music, movies and all that modern technology had to offer. A part-time employee at the local Sobeys, Carter was a valued employee who enjoyed the camaraderie of his coworkers in the Meat Department. Carter most enjoyed spending time with his great and growing group of friends who he loved deeply. His quick wit, sense of humour, compassion and beautiful smile were enjoyed by all who knew him, young and old. Carter will be missed by so many, and while we will never be able to make sense of his death, we take solace in the fact that he is now at peace and will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
