It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph Duthie of Rockyford, AB and formerly of Newcastle, NB, on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the age of 61 years.

Paul was a mechanics teacher at Forest Lawn High School in Calgary, AB. He was also very proud to be a teacher sponsor of the basketball team and coach for the regional and provincial skills competitions. He had a passion for mechanics and wood-working, and was a perfectionist at both, as with all things.

Paul is survived by his mother Carmel Ellen (Walsh) (Duthie) Gordon; one son Tim (Lori); and one daughter Judith, both of Calgary. He also leaves behind two grandsons Ben and Sam; five sisters, Pat, Margie, Betty (Lou), Judi (Bill) and Veronica; one brother Sean (Donna); several nieces and nephews; and very dear friend Juliann. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia (Caissie) Duthie and his father George.
