Peacefully, at the Elizabeth Bruyère Health Centre, on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Dearly beloved wife of Basil Campbell of 37 years.
Mary was born in Summerside, P.E.I, to the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Gillis, she took up residence in Ottawa, ON, soon after her marriage to Basil.
Mary is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Sutton "Bookie" (Dave) of Newmarket, ON, and Anna Reitmeier of Red Deer, Alberta, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary is predeceased by her brothers, Cecil, Clifford and John, and sisters, Florence Jewett, Theresa "Curly" Steele, Neva Graham, Ramona Mychajlowycz and Effie Racette.
She will be sorely missed by her Border Collie, Sona.
Many thanks to Kim Thompson and Kim Robertson of CCAC, Sophie Tabak of St. Elizabeth as well as the staff of Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre who provided support and happiness to Mary in the last months of her life also the doctors and nurses of the Montfort Hospital and the Elizabeth Bruyère for their care and support.

On Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow at a later date in P.E.I.
