It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden, yet peaceful, passing of Lynda Begg on May 16, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Sechelt, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of 42 years to Ken Begg, and mother of furry children Kodiak and Shyla, Lynda is survived by her parents Marion and Peter Anderosov of Port Alberni, and brothers Steve, Terry, Rick, Tim, David and their families, as well as sister-in-law Peggy, brother-in-law Ed and their families. Lynda had a special relationship with her niece Tasha (Aaron), who was like a daughter to her. Lynda also leaves behind 12 additional nieces and nephews, and 16 great-nieces and nephews.
Lynda had a passion for her family and cats, travel and shopping. Most of all she loved traveling south with Ken and watching the car races in Monroe, Washington. Lynda was an inspiration to others, displaying courage and strength, as she approached her life's most challenging circumstance. She never complained and always maintained her sense of humour, smile and very optimistic attitude not only about her health, but life overall.
A big thank you to the nurses at St. Mary's CCU for their kindness and compassion, as well as Lisa Hunter who assisted Lynda when her health deteriorated.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Happy Cat Haven, located at 760 School Road, Gibsons, BC, VON 1V9. No service by her request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
