Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care, Emma Louise Staples in her 76th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years Sylvester; children: Joanne Tobin (Derek), Lisa Long (Doug), Glenn (Reneé); grandchildren: Julia, Krista, Kate and Jacob; step-grandchildren: Bob, Steven, Michael, Patrick and Blake; Step-great-grandchild: Matthew; sisters: Betty (Eddie), Ellen, Sophie (Joe), Linda (Marcus) Nada (Steve); brothers: Steve (June), Ed, Max (Linda), Albert (Marg), Wayne, Randy (Mary); sister-in-law Helen Haché, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Randolph Roberts, brother Edgar, mother Lucy Noseworthy (Heath), stepfather Albert Noseworthy, brothers-in-law: Gordon Staples, Larry Smith, Roger Haché. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 24th at 2:00 pm from Memorial United Church, Curling Street with Pastor Wendy Lowden officiating.
