LaBRECQUE, AUDREY (GREENE) - November 24, 1935 - May 21, 2014 - It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Audrey LaBrecque announces her passing, at the age of 78, at York Care Centre in Fredericton. Loving mother of John (Tina), Bob (Cindy), Jack (Caitlynn) and devoted grandmother of Tyler (Farrah), Rochelle (Alex), Chris, Andrea, Jeff, Kristie and Shannon. Audrey is survived by her brother Fulton Greene (Olga) as well as sister-in-law Janice Greene of Hudson, New Hampshire; sister-in-law Marie Greene of Fredericton. Predeceased by brothers Floyd and Donald. Audrey also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as many devoted friends especially Barb Townes who provided our mom with much needed support and love. Audrey leaves behind a wonderful legacy of service to many people with special needs. She was totally devoted to her three sons and their families and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her example was one of hard work, honesty, loyalty and a fierce independence all seasoned with a fantastic sense of humor. Mom will live on in our hearts and minds and even though we know we have lost our greatest champion we are certain her love and examples will continue to guide us until we are all together again. The family would like to thank the staff of York Care Centre for the love and care provided as well as the skill and affection received from all of the medical professionals involved with our mom’s care. In lieu of flowers donations to Meals on Wheels or the York Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Audrey is resting at Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Tuesday, May 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 28 at 11 AM with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in the Blissfield United Cemetery.
