ORPEN, EILEEN WALTON (nee McCARTHY) - July 4th, 1920 – May 12th, 2014 - It is with sadness that the family announces her passing on the evening of 12th May. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years (Ron) and survived by her two sons, Michael (Patricia) and Bill (Terri) as well as her four grandchildren Michael, Sean, Alex and Matt. We wish to thank all those in the Palliative Care Unit of St Josephs Hospital in Comox for their never-wavering care and attention in insuring Eileen's last months were as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Dr Itta Winter, Terry and Charline Law and of course Maureen Taylor, our Mother's most endearing and oldest friend here in the valley.
