Richard Percy

A private memorial was held at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Friday May 23, 2014 for Richard, who passed away peacefully at Moose Jaw Extendicare on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Survived by Arlene, wife of 53 years, loving children Kathleen (Jeff), Kimberley, and Kenneth (Jennifer), caring grandchildren Cynthia, Megan, Laura, and Jacob. Richard was born on July 5, 1939. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces where he served his country in several places across Canada. He moved to Moose Jaw in 1977 after finishing his 22 years of service at CFB Moose Jaw. Richard was an avid hobbyist and a member of several clubs in Moose Jaw including the Model Railroad, and Control Line Airplane clubs. He was an accomplished artist in oil paintings and building scale models from scratch. Several of his models were sold to collectors worldwide. His love of animals later took him to work at the Moose Jaw Humane Society where he enjoyed working up until his retirement.
