The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, June 4, 2014 of Wilbert Joseph MacKenzie of Millview, aged 82 years.
Husband of Georgia. Dear father of Bernard (Debbie), Jo-Ann (Allison) Ramsay, David (Brenda), Anita (Daniel) Gabler, Ray, Nancy (Gary) Au, Andrew (Robyn), and Doreen (Kris) Brown. Survived by grandchildren, Susan, Heather and Jennifer MacKenzie; Colleen Lamparski; Justin and Christine Gray; Josh and Cameron MacKenzie; Megan and Lucas Au; Grant, Jack and Kate MacKenzie; and Madelyn and William Brown; and by great-grandchild, Damien MacKenzie. Also survived by sisters, Mary Doyle (James-deceased), Eileen MacKenzie, Bernadette Dunn (Vernon-deceased), Helen MacKenzie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by siblings, Angus (Theresa), John (infancy) and Sister Theresa Mackenzie. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law, James and William Morrison; parents, Charles and Mary (Hynes) MacKenzie; and parents-in-law, Joseph and Bernadette (MacDonald) Morrison.
Transferred from the Jenkins Funeral Home, Millview, to the Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford, for visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Knights of Columbus Council #7105 will hold prayers for their late brother at the funeral home Friday evening at 6:30. Funeral Saturday from St. Joachim's Church, Vernon River, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
