It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of a wonderful sister, Sarah 'Sally' Redmond, age 85 of Glace Bay, who passed on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, Mass.
Born in Glace Bay, Sally was the daughter of the late John and Kathleen (Murphy) Redmond. Sally received her education in Glace Bay and became a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital. Sally was employed at Melrose Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, Mass. for over 50 years.
She will be sadly missed by sisters, Ruth Pezzariello, Bedford, N.S., Audrey O'Neill (Sonny) Glace Bay and Ann Stuart, Hyannis, Mass. Sally will also be missed by several nephews and nieces especially Bernie and Dolly Redmond, Taunton, Mass. and Dan O'Neill, Glace Bay.
Besides her parents, Sally was predeceased by sisters, Paula, Jackie, Mary; brothers, Peter, Bernie and Frank.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Carr Funeral Home, Melrose, Mass.
