Mom was very active in her church until her passing. She was a life member of the UCW, served on various church committees and taught Sunday school and Explorers for a great number of years. Mom loved to spend time with her family and she was loved by all of us. She enjoyed travelling with us, enjoyed a game of Skipbo and a good cup of tea, with a snack, of course, with her extended family at Charwood Manor. She was very active in her senior years, swimming, skiing and walking until the onset of her illness this year. She was a good friend and neighbour to everyone that she met, always had a smile or a joke. We were blessed to have her in our lives for so long. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Sunday, June 8 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment was in Bethany United Cemetery. Donations may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in our mother's great memory. Please visit www.noelsfuneralhome.com to sign the memorial guest book.
