WHYNOT, Frances Victoria Dunn - 91, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, May 10, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Plunkett, SK, she was a daughter of the late William and Ann (Dunn) Taylor. Frances was a prairie girl growing up on a small farm in Saskatchewan. In 1945, following a few years of intense letter writing to her then beau Clyde Whynot, who was serving overseas during World War II, she made the long, courageous journey to a small town in Nova Scotia. Frances and Clyde were devoted to one another throughout their long and loving marriage that lasted 64 years. Frances loved to sew for all her family. She was happiest with her family around her, whether hosting big family dinners or just having family members drop in. Frances was dedicated to her church, Trinity Anglican, Liverpool, and could be counted on for her delicious casseroles and baked goods for various church functions which she did up until recent weeks when her illness made it impossible for her to continue. She and Clyde enjoyed many wonderful years of square dancing and eagerly anticipated card games with friends. In recent years, Frances amazed all who knew her with her strength of spirit and determination. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Lyman) Oickle of Milton, Iris (Ken) Cuddy of Perth, ON, Kathryn (Neil) Richter of Sackville, NS., grandchildren Lisa (Darren) Williams, Blair (Kim) Oickle, Krista (Nathan) Orman, Troy Richter, Kevin Richter, Jonathan Cuddy, David Cuddy; great-grandchildren Gregory and Jennifer Williams, Sarah Oickle, Gillian Orman; Her sisters Nora Hall and Connie Hopkins, both of Saskatoon, SK. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Clyde, sisters Bertha and Erma and her brother Wilfred. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool with Reverend Shona Boardman officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Liverpool.
