McFADDEN, RETA - Reta Ellen McFadden, age 89, Pleasant Street, Lynn, died on Monday June 2, 2014. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret McFadden. She had lived in Lynn for the majority of her life and had worked as an executive assistant and office manager at the Tufts New England Medical Center for 35 years. Reta was a daily Communicant of St. Mary’s Parish in Lynn. She is survived by her nephew Bruce Ryan and his wife Marie, of Lynnfield, as well as a nephew and niece in Canada, Michael McFadden and Iona Steeves. She also leaves several great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James McFadden, Albert McFadden, Mary McFadden, Iona H. McFadden, Edith S. Barber, and Marguerite Savary.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 14. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30am to 10:30am at the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (RTE 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church in Lynn. Burial will be on Monday, June 16 at St Joseph’s cemetery in Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
