Anita Lee

Born In: River Ryan

Passed in: River Ryan
Passed on: June 8th, 2014

It is with heavy hearts we the children and grandchildren of Anita Eileen (Feit) Lee announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at home surrounded by those she loved exactly as she had wished, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the tender young age of 67.
Born in River Ryan to Mathias (Max) and Minnie Feit, she was the proud wife of the late Roddie Lee, loving mother to her four surviving children, Ricky (Tracy) Lee, Joe (Heidi Hirtle) Lee, Veronica (Blair) Murray and Manning (Kathy) Lee.
She was the loving, cuddling, hugging, adoring, doting, spoiling 'Gram' to Devon (Amber), Shannon, Joshua, Taylor, Stephen, Kate, Molly, Christopher, Libby, Abbeylyn and Aiden. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joyce (Corbett) Feit; siblings, Mary Murphy, Anne Deruelle, Minnie Thorn, Pauline Smithson, Frances MacKinnon, Renee Langer (John-James MacLeod), Simon (Alice) Feit.
Mamma is gone to the arms of her loving husband, Roddie Lee, sister, Josephine (Feit) Head, brother, Tiker Feit, parents, Mathias and Minnie (Odo) Feit, and granddaughter, Holly Murray all of whom predeceased her.
She was forever grateful to have her special friends, sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Tommy DeGiobbi watching over her. She was a kind, gentle and loving soul that touched all who knew her, and to list the people she truly loved, that truly loved her or held a special place in her heart would take more space than these pages allow and with that a huge thank you from her children to all of those people near and far that helped to make the last few months of her life easier for us all. Though she passed without a million dollars in the bank, God has never given breath to a woman that felt richer in life.
No matter how much money we have, no matter how hard we work, no matter how much love we give, we cannot put more time in our lives, but with the slightest of efforts we can put more life in our time.
In lieu of flowers, take those five minutes it would take you to order them and hug, call or hold the hand of someone you love, Mamma would appreciate that more.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place under the direction of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A celebration of Mamma's life will be held at St. Leonard’s Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014, followed by a reception at the Army/Navy/Airforce Hall. Fr. Ray Huntley officiating.
On line condolences to the family can be expressed at www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
