Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at the Health Sciences Center, age 63 years. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Gertrude, brother Casmir, sisters Bernadette and Mary, father-in-law Francis. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Rowena, son Trevor (Brenda), Daughters Tracey (Craig) and Tiffany (Jody). Forever missed and always remembered by his grandchildren Kaitlin, Ethan, Eva, Keianna, Noah, and their father Jeff Griffin, as well as Brother Daniel (Marjorie) Meehan, Margaret (Ed) Tobin, Maureen (Randy) Corcoran, Marilyn (Wayne) Dawson, Helen (Cliff) Dobbin, Jeanette (Christopher) Meehan-Pratt, and Sister-in-law Agnes Meehan. Also leaving to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. A huge thank-you to the many nurses and doctors at the HSC 5NB and 4 South for the continuous support they have shown over the past 5 weeks. Also a special thanks to Father Frances Roche and Brother Ed Wakeham for their continuous support and prayers during his hospital stay. Visitation will take place at Faheys Funeral Home, Trepassey, from Wednesday, June 11 and Thursday, June 12 1pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass to be held at Holy Redeemer Parish, Trepassey on Friday, June 13 at 1pm with interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
