FRASER’S MOUNTAIN – Brian Robert Rogers, age 39, of Fraser’s Mountain, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Robert Rogers of Fraser’s Mountain and the late Joyce (Stewart) Rogers.
He was a Category Administrator with Sobeys. He was a graduate of NSCC and East Pictou Rural High School where he played drums in the School Band. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Atlantic Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Support Group (AEDSS). Brian enjoyed attending Crusher’s hockey games.
He is survived by his father Robert; aunts: Lois MacKinnon; Nancy Stewart; uncles: Gordon (Diane) Stewart; Alan (Theresa) Stewart; several cousins; extended family, Murray and Barb Biggar.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Saturday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or Maritime Connective Tissue Clinic, C/O The Maritime Heart Center.
