Florence Pearl Patey

Florence (Flo) Pearl Patey of St. Lunaire-Griquet was born on June 26, 1943 to Joseph and Jessie Humby. On Oct. 19, 1960, she married the love of her life Allan Patey; they had many great years together and raised eight children who were the apple of her eye. She was dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard worker. She worked in the fish plant up until the moratorium and embroidered for Grenfell Handicrafts to help provide for her family; she always wanted the best for them. Flo enjoyed knitting, embroidering, crocheting, berry picking, house cleaning, evening rides looking for moose and caribou and cherished spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman who was of little words but always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Flo passed peacefully into the presence of her loving heavenly Father on June 3, 2014 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony where she was reunited with her loving parents and other family members.
