COOPER – Ron Henry, age 82 passed away on June 6, 2014 at the Regina General Hospital. Ron is survived by his daughter, Marjorie (Earl) Haubrich and their children Trevor and Allison; son Allan (Sheila) Cooper and their children Stacey, Kent and Kurt; daughter Carol Cooper and her children Charlotte (Gary), Aurora (Marcel), Terrie (Trevor), Teresa (Ryan) and Shantel; son Cliff Cooper (Brenda) and children Ashley and Spencer Cooper and James Koudelka; daughter Dianne and children Stan, Chelsea and Brendon; 9 great-grandchildren, Starr, Seliena, Daisy, Lily, William, Dylan, Aryanna, Zayden and Kaylin. Ron is also survived by his siblings, Alva Jensen, Betty Baldwin, Leona Dalrymple and Gary Cooper. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sarah, his parents John and Ethel Cooper and siblings Orville, Harvey, Mervin, Edna, Ivan, Mamie, Erie, Verna, Zelma, Kenneth and Vilda. Ron was born August 2, 1931 at Vanguard, SK. He attended Gasper School and helped his parents with farming. In 1960 his parents quit farming and moved to Salmon Arm, BC and Ron and his brothers Harvey and Orville took over the farm. He also operated a backhoe for many years and made numerous friends throughout the area. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He married Sarah Banman on March 12, 1952 and they farmed all their lives in the Vanguard area. Ron will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. The interment was held at Vanguard Cemetery, Vanguard, SK. The eulogy was given by his granddaughter Ashley Cooper. The reading was given by his daughter Carol. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Trevor Haubrich, Spencer Cooper, Stan Dash, Brendon Dash, Kent Cooper, Kurt Cooper and James Koudelka.
