Peacefully at the home of her daughter Linda, in Pefferlaw, Ontario, on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the age of 87 years.
Sis Burke (nee Jackson), beloved mother of Les Burke and his wife Demona of Georgetown, Ont., Lennie Burke of Bathurst, N.B., Albert Burke and his wife Eileen of Marystown, N.L., Wilma Backle of Hamilton, Ont., and Linda Steele and her husband Scott of Pefferlaw, Ont.
Predeceased by her son Terry.
Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of George Jackson (the late Nancy) of Sydney, N.S., Millie Ross (the late Buster) of Sydney, N.S., Roy Jackson (Lee) of Trenton, Ont., Irene Lux of Florida, and Francis Harris (Mel) of London, Ont.
Predeceased by her siblings Rita Hussey, Eddie Jackson (the late Theresa) and Sadie Ryan (the late Michael). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Rd., Sutton, Ont., from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 129 Metro Road North, Keswick, Ont., Wednesday at 1 p.m. Visitation in the church from 12 noon. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ont.
