Anne Amundsen

Mrs. Anne Amundsen, late of Birch Hills, SK passed away on June 12, 2014 at the age of 102 years. Anne was born April 6, 1912 in Torpa, Norway. She immigrated to Canada, arriving in June 1913 and married Asbjorn Amundsen on December 7, 1930. She is survived by her daughter: Ruth (Arvid) Olson of Abbotsford, BC and their children: David (Lori) Olson of Everson, WA and Karen Harrison of Abbotsford BC; her son: Russell (Peggy) Amundsen of Saskatoon, SK and their children: Deonne (Trent) Hanson of Moose Jaw, SK, Kelly Amundsen of Balgonie, SK, and Michele (Daren) Schlosser of Saskatoon, SK; her 11 great-grandchildren and her 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister Hilda of Dryden, ON, her brother Ernest of Birch Hills SK, her brother Edwin of Duncan, BC and her sister Edna of Birch Hills SK. Anne was predeceased by her husband: Asbjorn Amundsen; her parents John and Inger Stensrud; her sisters: Alma Schukei, Ovidia Turgeon, Olga Anundson and Ida Stensrud; and her brother John Stensrud. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Birch Hills Lutheran Church, with Pastor Wilf Gaertner officiating. Interment to follow in the Saron Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Birch View Auxiliary, Box 578, Birch Hills, SK S0J 0G0.
