Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Saturday, June 21, after a brief battle with cancer, in the presence of his loving family, at age 69. Formally from Bell Island. Predeceased by his parents Edward & Ellen Duggan; parents-in-law William & Elizabeth Fitzgerald; sister Shirley Murphy; and brother-in-law Peter Cole. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Madeline (Fitzgerald); son Edward Patrick (Cheryl Boland); daughter Carla Melanie (Ricky Szabo); light of his life adored grandson Anthony Edward; his siblings: Pat (Jeannette), Helen (Paul Ruhland), Jerry (Mary), Tom (Rosalind), Kevin (Bernadette); sister-in-law Anna Cole; brothers-in-law Mike (Joan), Jim (Shirley), Leon (Helen), Lorne Fitzgerald; as well as a numerous number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation to be at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday & Tuesday, June 23rd & 24th, from 2:00p.m.-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Memorial service to be held at Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, June 25, at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Dr. H.
