Linda Jean Tramble

Linda Jean Tramble

Linda Jean (Fear) Tramble, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the QEII Health Sciences Centre after a brief but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister.
Linda was born to Doris and the late F. William Fear on November 26, 1953 in Springhill, Nova Scotia. As a child her family lived in Mulgrave and Halifax before they settled in New Glasgow for her teenage years. She began her career there and then in Halifax with MT&T. In 1977 she moved to Calgary, subsequently marrying her soulmate Francis Tramble and where their two beloved daughters Erin and Kate were born. Deciding they wanted to be closer to family, they moved back east to Halifax in 1988 where Linda returned to work at Bell Aliant (MT&T) and worked with the CMR, Assignment, Credit Services and Hospital Patient Services groups. She was well known and well-loved among her co-workers for her cooking and baking skills, as well as for her sense of humor. Linda enjoyed knitting, and was known to share her talents with family and friends, as well as the IWK and local children and women's charities to whom she donated mittens, scarves and baby hats. Linda was quick to laugh and quicker to make others laugh. Her greatest joy in life was to be at home, surrounded by her family.
Linda is survived by her husband Francis, mother Doris McNutt and step-father Hilton McNutt, daughters Erin and Kate (Fraser MacMillan), siblings Susan (Kathy Campbell), David (Chris Bennett) and Ann (Andrew Parsons, nephew Philip, niece Elizabeth), Francis’ sisters Arlene Garrett and Claire Snowdon and their families.
She was predeceased by her father Bill Fear and nephew Colin Fear.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Tilley and the staff of the VG Palliative Care unit for their care.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25 from 2-4 and 6-8 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) with memorial service Thursday, June 26 at 2:30 in Snows Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Craig's Cause or Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
