Teresa O’Connor Johnson, E. (nee Laughlin) of Warwick, Rhode Island, died peacefully at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI on Friday, June 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Charles Roland O’Connor and John H. Johnson, Jr. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. Laughlin and Mary F. (McNeill) Laughlin. Mrs. Johnson was employed as an inspector at Cherry Semi-Conductor in Rhode Island for many years until her retirement. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. A devout Roman Catholic, Mrs. Johnson was a Communicant of St. Clement Church, Warwick, RI. She leaves her three loving children: Carol T. Ward and her husband Keith of Wickford, RI, Robert C. O’Connor and his wife Patricia of North Kingstown, RI, and Brenda C. Gardner and her husband Gregory of East Greenwich, RI. Cherished grandmother of Gregory Gardner of East Greenwich, Katie O’Connor Gaudette of Burrillville, RI, Kelly Ward of Washington, D.C., Erin Gardner of East Greenwich, Hillary O’Connor of North Kingstown, Kiffin Ward of Wickford, Kristin O’Connor of North Kingstown, and Connor Ward of Wickford. She was the sister of Claire Matthews of Summerside, Edward Laughlin of Brantford, Ontario, Anita O’Connor of Toronto, Urban Laughlin of Sherbrooke, Allison Laughlin of Sherbrooke and the late Errol Laughlin of Traveler’s Rest and Helen Mahood of Ontario. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, June 28, then to St. Paul’s Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alberton. Memorial donations in Teresa’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
