Gerry Robinson

ROBINSON, GERRY - It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald Kenneth Robinson announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on June 26, 2014. Gerry was born in Carlingford, NB on March 4, 1936 to the late Roy and Marion (Jacques) Robinson. Gerry will be forever remembered for his restaurant empire. He operated 12 restaurants in the Fredericton area, including Gerry's Restaurant in the Brookside Mall, Gerry's Seafood and Steakhouse, and the Bi-Pass Irving Restaurant on Woodstock Road and several more throughout the years. Gerry's customers never left hungry as their plates were often overflowing with home-cooked food. When Gerry's hands weren't holding a frying pan they were gripping a pool cue, waiting for the next new challenger. He played pool with the best, being seen at Dooly's, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 or the 20/20 Club. Gerald is survived by his children, Steven (Tammy) Robinson, Richard Robinson and Roxanne (Chris) MacDonald; grandchildren, Chantele Robinson and Hannah, Allison, and Brianna MacDonald; sisters, Priscilla Clark, Marie Mailman and Rita White; and brothers, Leo and Phillip Robinson. Gerald was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, John Robinson and Everett Cowett. Gerald's family would like to extend gratitude and thanks for the exceptional care that Dr. Varty and his staff gave Gerald while he was staying at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
