ANDERSON, HARRY EARL - 1925-2014 - Harry Earl Anderson, 88, of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital, on Saturday, June 28, 2014. He was the eldest child of the late Harry and Bernice (Taylor) Anderson. Earl served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, serving on the Corvette Trillium. He then took his trade as a boilermaker and worked for 43 years at CN until his retirement in 1985. Upon retirement, he and Jean enjoyed travelling and camping for many years. Earl was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family. Earl is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean (Boudreau); daughters, Jackie McDonald (Bruce) of Amherst, NS and Rhonda Leslie (Greg) of Moncton; son, David (Lorraine) of Oshawa, ON; son-in-law, Murray Lewis of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Iris Anderson of River Glade; sister, Judy Christie of Riverview; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by daughter, Debbie Lewis (2006); son, Barry (2011); sons, Ronald and Shawn in infancy; brother, Ralph; and sisters, Helen Copeland and Pauline Tidd.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview, with visitation Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The memorial service will be held at the Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, Riverview, on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Fr. Laurence Quin-Morris officiating. There will be a reception following the service. Cremation has taken place, and the interment will be at the St. Lawrence O'Toole R.C. Cemetery, Irishtown. At this time, the family would like to thank Dr. Pierre Beaulieu for his excellent care over the years, the doctors and nurses at the dialysis unit at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital for their excellent care and compassion over the last four years, Extra Mural and V.O.N. nurses for their home visits, and especially the staff at the emergency department at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital who cared for him Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl's memory made to the dialysis unit at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital, Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
