Lester Leblanc

LEBLANC, LESTER - 1911 - 2014 - Lester LeBlanc, 102, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, July 4th, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Lakeburn, NB, he was the son of the late Alphée and the late Elise (née: LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed Bingo; cards: especially “200” and “Wisk”; and bowling. He was a member of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette parish and a trustee for l’École de Lakeburn from 1950 to 1954. He is survived by four daughters: Audette LeBlanc (Frank) and Pauline (Willie) Bastarache, both of Dieppe; Bernice (Gordie) Davis of North Bay, ON and Bernadette (Alex) Bastarache, also of Dieppe; four sons: Paul (Joyce) of Galloway, Gerard (Anita) of Moncton, Guy (Lauza) and Joseph, both of Dieppe; 42 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie in 1997; one daughter-in-law, Linda; five sisters: Bella, Laura, Beatrice, Ozithe and Elda and also by three brothers: Arthur, Martin and Philias.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 10 am until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, (Lakeburn), on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation ”Oncology” would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
