Pearson, Frances Isabelle - 93, Truro passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Mira, Truro. Born in Stewiacke on February 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Corey and Gladys (McNutt) Corbin. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a beacon of help for her family and never hesitated to take anyone into her home when they needed a place to stay. She liked playing cards, bingo and her home was always full of pleasant smells from her baking. Frances is survived by her son, Gerald “Jud” (Gay), Truro; daughters, Penny (Dale) McSween, Cornwall, ON, Terry (Steve) Corkum, Lower Sackville, NS, Pam (Blair) MacKay, Stratford, PEI; brother, Albert, Kingston, NS; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald (Judda); sisters, Etta and Dorothy; brother, Lorne; granddaughter, Patricia Pearson; sister-in-law, Shirley Corbin. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of the Mira Nursing Home and to her special friend Sandra. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
