Parrish “Perry” Fuerst

Perry Fuerst, longtime resident of Fort St. John, BC, passed away in Grande Prairie on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the age of 50 years.

Perry was born on December 5, 1963 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Howard and Rose Marie. Perry, his parents and two brothers moved from Manitoba to BC. They lived in a few different towns before settling in Fort St. John. He met Tracey Laberge in 1980, and they have been together ever since. Perry had worked in the gas and oil field industry for 33 years. His enjoyments in life were fishing, camping, reading, gaming and spending time with family and friends. He really enjoyed being around his three grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Tracey, his daughters and their families: Tricha (Jeremy and daughters Dakota and Sierra), Ashley (Dave and son Colten) and Nicole; his parents Howard and Rose Marie; brothers: Dale and Richard; maternal grandmother and step-grandpa; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00pm at Hamre’s Funeral Chapel in Fort St. John, BC (10315 102 St.). Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort St. John (on 86th Street). Everyone is then invited back to Hamre’s Funeral Chapel for the luncheon.

Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (#103 9805 97 St. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 8B9), or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (#202 11227 Jasper Ave. Edmonton, AB T5K 0L5).

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, as well as Dr. Best and the other Doctors and Nurses at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, especially those working in Emergency and Palliative Care.
