Stewart, Jean Winnifred “Jeanne” – Age 76, MacKay Siding, Colchester County, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2014, surrounded by her family. Born in Cheboque, Yarmouth County, she was a daughter of the late William and Eva (Post) Powers. She was a dedicated mother and nana. Everyone she met came before herself, particularly children, whom she held especially dear.

She will always be loved and sadly missed by daughter, Judylee MacBurnie (Wayne); son-in-law, Daniel MacBurnie; sons, Donald, Craig (Kathy), Derek (Tammy), Shaune (Julie); grandchildren, Vanessa, Nathaniel MacBurnie; Kody, Lauren Stewart; Riley, Paige Stewart; husband, David; sister, Dorothy (Daniel) Wile; several special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by stepfather, Leslie Hamilton; sisters, Ella (Frank) Kutsagoitz, Helen Post; brothers, Bill, Joseph, Sandy, Douglas; nephew, Douglas Kutsagoitz; niece, Dorothy Kutsagoitz.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., and funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m., both in Country Calvary Baptist Church, Milford, Pastor Morris Mills officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Furthermore Ministries or Partners International.
