Alcide Landry

LANDRY, ALCIDE - Alcide Landry, 85, of the Villa Providence in Shediac and formerly of Dupuis Corner, passed away at his residence on Wednesday July 23, 2014. Born on April 7, 1929 in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Honoré and Elina (Arsenault) Landry. Before his retirement, he was a former co-proprietor of Landry & Landry Lobster Ltd. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Cécile (Leger); three daughters: Florence Fougère (Fred) of Grand-Barachois, Edith (Bruce Lawson) of Dieppe and Phyllis of Winter Haven, Florida; two sons: Charles (Susan) of Fredericton and Donald (Joanne) of Grand-Barachois; two sisters: Rina Lirette (late Léandre) of Grand-Barachois and Edith LeBlanc (Alphée) of Dieppe; seven grandchildren: Nicole, Carol, Julien, Véronique, Christine, Kelsey and Samantha; four great-grandchildren: Genèvieve, Pierre, Eric and Oliver, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one infant sister, Stella; five sisters: Léa Landry, Rebecca Bourque, Yvonne Leger, Léontine Meunier and Sylvie Landry; two brothers: Gélas and Alonzo.
The family will receive condolences at 396, Main Street, Shediac, on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri Roman Catholic Church in Barachois on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé. By request, no flowers or perfume due to family allergies. In memory of Alcide, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé would be appreciated.
