DELANEY, Irene L. – Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, January 1, 2009, Irene L. Delaney of Northern Bay, age 77 years. Predeceased by husband Wm. John; daughter Marie; parents: Ignatius and Margaret; sisters: Helen and Bride; brother Gerald. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Mary (Alphonsus) Woodfine and Bridie (Vernon) Snelgrove, both of Northern Bay and Margaret (Gary) Wicks, Burnt Point; three sons: David, Northern Bay, Steve (Margaret) and John (Christine), both of Mount Pearl; twelve grandchildren: Jennifer (Barry), Annette (Steven), Sheldon (Angel), Stephanie (Josh), Stephen, Amanda, David (Gail) and Zane and their mother Nora, Jeramey (Holly), Christopher, Jonathan and Chad; one great-grandson Nickolas; three brothers: Steve (Bessie), Alberta, Vincent (Laurane) and Luke (Maureen), both of Northern Bay; one sister Mary Veltkamp, Montana, USA; brother-in-law Leo Morrissey, Northern Bay; sisters-in-law Catherine Delaney, Burnt Point and Catherine Delaney, St. Bernard’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, January 5 at 10:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Northern Bay.
