Donald Yeomans
YEOMANS, DONALD - It is with great sadness that the family of Donald "Don" Albert Yeomans announce his passing on August 3, 2014 with his family by his side. Don was born on June 13, 1929 in Sussex, New Brunswick, the song of the late Jonas and Sarah (nee Boltenhouse). He was predeceased by his sister Mary and his wife of 40 years Ruby Beverly (nee Evans). Don is survived by his children Mary (Mike) Dever of Saint John, NB, Donald of Hamilton, ON, Debbie of Ottawa, ON and Stanley (Paula) of Hamilton, ON, his beloved grandchildren Jenna and Noah and his brother Frederick (Marilyn) of Saint John, NB. Don worked many years in the construction industry in Hamilton. Don's faith was strong. Throughout his life he enjoyed fellowship at Peoples Church and then later at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle and Crossfire. He also attended seniors functions at the Welcome Inn Community Centre and West Highland. He volunteered with Transport for Christ and drove a Sunday School bus for Peoples Church for a number of years. A special thank you goes to the staff at The Carlisle and Queens Garden whose caring and compassion during Don's short stay will not be forgotten.
Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave.E. Hamilton, on Tuesday, August 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Peoples Church, 510 Mohawk Rd. W., Hamilton, on Wednesday, August 6th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. Remembrances can be made to a charity of your choice.
