AUFFREY, MYRA - 1911 - 2014 - Shediac - Myra Auffrey died peacefully Monday, August 4th, 2014 surrounded by her family in Shediac. She was the wife of the late Allain Auffrey. She was born in Shemogue, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Pélagie) Brine. She was an impeccable mother and grand-mother and had the unusual gift for making a home out of a house. More than anything, she loved family life: reading, growing flowers and bird watching followed. She is survived by three sons: Bernie (Julie) of Shediac, Phil (Rachel) of Memramcook and Emile of Moncton; three daughters: Rita (late Mike Belliveau) of Moncton, Marie (Mike Seward) of Toronto, and Alice (Laurence Rachynski) of Sherwood Park, AB; nine grandchildren: Amanda (Earle Ali), Dominic, Monique (Wylie Spicer), Daniel, Mathieu, Neil (Julie) Michelle (Jason), Joseph (Linn) and Jered (Diana); 13 great-grandchildren: Jaden, Cody, Anabelle, Alex, Samuel, Jade, Reed, Autumn, Sophie, Jordan, Zachery, Kira and Costin. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Marie-Adèle. The family would like to express deepest thanks to all of the personal care workers that have assisted mom with day to day activities over the years and allowed her to remain in her home to enjoy family and friends. Special thanks to Joan, Vivian #1, Vivian #2, Sharon, Anne Marie, Amanda and Hélène.
The family will receive condolences at 396, Main Street, Shediac, on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac on Thursday, August 7th, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Pré-d’en-Haut cemetery in Memramcook.
