HANRAHAN, LÉONA - (1932-2014) - REXTON, NB - Léona Hanrahan, 82, of Foyer Petit Chenous passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Sunday, August 3, 2014. Born in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Meleme Collette and Marie (Richard) Collette. She attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton. Léona will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Juanita Collette Larkin, Patricia Ann Hanrahan; one son, Robert Collette (Pauline) and grandchildren, Chrystal, Jonathan, Tatianna, Ryan, Mitchell, Bradley, Samantha and great grandchildren, Emilyrose and Jack. She is also survived by one sister, Loretta Arsenault; four brothers, Zoel Collette (Martha), Meddy Collette (Cheryl), Raymond Collette (Annie), Jerry Collette (Gisele), sisters-in-law, Aurella and Diane and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hanrahan, sisters, Theresa LeBlanc, infant Teresa Collette, Delia and brothers, Ronald, infant Jean-Baptiste, Albert and Yvon.
Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Private Family Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm, Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rexton. Donations in Léona's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or NB Lung Association and would be appreciated y the family. Special thanks to Everett Hudson, a life time friend to the family, also to the first floor nursing staff at the Stella Maris Hospital.
