Forzley
Evelyn Violet Forzley (Nelson) passed away on August 2, 2014 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw. Evelyn was born March 24, 1916 at Milly, Saskatchewan in the McCord area where she received her schooling and met her husband Edward. They raised their sons and spent most of their married life on the family farm until she and Ed retired to Assiniboia. She was always busy preparing meals, baking, canning or tending to her large garden. Evelyn was involved in community fund raising events and was part of the Ladies Aid for many years. Her spare time was well used by doing handwork such as crocheting, knitting, sewing, and quilting. Retirement years were spent fishing, bowling, traveling and welcoming many friends and family into their home where the bottomless coffee pot was always accompanied by fresh homemade treats. Evelyn is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Forzley, granddaughter Adelle Forzley (Curtis Wiebe); daughter-in-law Laura Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, Roy, Oscar, Clifford, and Mervin; and four sisters, Edna, Emelia, Esther, and Ellen, husband Edward, sons Delmer and Marvin, and grandson Blair. At Evelyn's request, a graveside memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. In living memory of Evelyn, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
