OMELIA, PHYLLIS MAY
(September 5, 1920 – May 11, 2014) age 93, was born in Shinimicas, NS and passed away peacefully in the Dartmouth General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John Brownell and May (Embree) Brownell. She taught school in Cumberland County, Halifax County and Dartmouth, NS until her retirement. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and Aunt.
She is survived by sons John Ogden (Diane), Texas, Reginald Omelia, Dartmouth, daughter Ida May Leslie (John); grandchildren Tina Rowlands, Danielle Jones, Crystal Anderson (Robert), Deidre Cluney (Scott); great grandchildren Nicholas, Gunner, Jonathan, Shy-Anna, Leland, Aidean and Bradley; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Bertha Fisher (Murray), Gladys Forshner (Weldon), Marion; brothers Roy Brownell (Gladys), Lester (Willena), and great grandson Logan Cluney. A family burial will take place Sept 6, 2014 In Northport Hillside Cemetery.
