With great sadness we announce the passing of Stewart in the early hours of August 6, 2014, after a difficult but courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of 55 years to Rohanna; Papa to six children, Robert (Josefa) Rae, Diana Rae, Haidee (Fred) Rae, Pauline (Peter) Rae, Rosalind (Fred) Rae, and Helena Rae; and Grandpa to nine grandchildren.
Stewart was born April 5, 1930 in Vancouver, BC. He grew up in Victoria and he and Rohanna were married there in 1958. After many years of living in various places around the world. Stewart and Rohanna settled in Comox to live closer to their children and grandchildren. A kind and social fellow, Stewart made many close friendships along the way and was greatly liked and admired by all who met him. As a role model for his children he instilled honesty, integrity, tolerance and fairness in how he lived. He was well respected by his colleagues in his work as a chartered accountant. He will be greatly missed by his family and by many friends and acquaintances around the world.
