It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barry Coates announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday August 10th 2014 at the age of 62 years. He will be sadly missed by his mother Blanche Coates in Stephenville Crossing, his three brothers: Tom (Bev), Merlin and Robert, four nieces; Leah Mawer, Karen, Stephanie and Melissa Coates, his two sisters-in-law; Margie White and Jean House and their families along with a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Leonard and the love of his life, his wife Patsy. Barry retired in 2012 after 37 years of proud service to the town of Stephenville. Barry will be remembered for his dedication to help the many organizations in his community. At Barry’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive on Thursday August 14th 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private service will take place at a later time.
