­Russell Haggart passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the age of 75, after a long battle with kidney failure and COPD.
Loving husband to Mary Haggart (nee MacGrath), father to Ann (Nick) Akkermans, Betty (Larry) Cook, Susan Haggart; grandfather to Corey and Bill Akkermans, Mathew and Devon  Cook, Angus and Tiffany Snow, Bailey Curtis; great-grandfather to Ava and Josie Akkermans.
As per Russell’s wishes he will be laid to rest in French River, Nova Scotia.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 21 at 11a.m. at French River Cemetery with luncheon to follow at the French River Sanctuary (old French River Church).
