BREAU, RITA - Rita Breau, 94, of Shediac, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Villa Providence. Born on December 1, 1919 in College Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Gaspard and Hermenie (LeBlanc) Bourgeois. Rita was a devoted volunteer having given many hours of her time to help others at the Villa Providence. She is survived by two daughters: Clara Fagan (Clifford) of Moncton and Annette Fougère (Armand) of Shediac River; one son, Guy of Shédiac; one daughter-in-law, Caroline of Scarborough, ON; one sister, Léa Gallant of Halifax, NS; two brothers: Frédéric Bourgeois (late Georgette) and Roger Bourgeois (Doreen), both of Shédiac; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Olivier (1973); two sons: Roger and Ronald; one great-grandson, Dalton; four sisters: Bernadette, Thérèse, Marie, Bella and one infant sister; three brothers: Arthur, Léo and Ulysse. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Villa Providence for the wonderful care provided to Rita during her stay.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shédiac (532-3297) Thursday from2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the St-Joseph parish cemetery.
