ROOP, DANIEL J. - Daniel J. Roop, 61, of Moncton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Born in Val Cartier, QC, he was the son of Archer and Lucie (Lirette) Roop of Moncton. Daniel was a self-employed IT Consultant and Certified General Accountant and was active in the CGA Association (Secretary). His passion was computers, flying remote controlled helicopters with his grandson, Owen and spending precious time with his family and friends. Daniel will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Bernice (Ferguson) Roop; precious daughter, Mélanie Lutes (Lloyd) and son, Neil Roop, both of Moncton; cherished grandson, Owen Lutes; sisters, Elaine Roop of Moncton, Linda Dunn (Jean) of Murdochville, QC and Monique Roop of Moncton; brother, Michael Roop (Rennie) of Moncton; several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his nephews, Joel and Daniel Roop.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church (854 Mountain Road) on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 am, with Rev. Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. Interment, Stilesville Cemetery.
