HENRI-AUCOIN, DORINA - Dorina Henri-Aucoin, 95, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Villa du Repos, Moncton, where she resided. Born on October 11, 1918 in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Sophie (Doiron) Allain. She is survived by five daughters: Jeannette Gaudet (late Normand Pius), Beatrice Vickers (Byron), Stella LeBlanc (Roger), and Simonne Henry all of Moncton, Rita Langille (Terry) of Halifax, three sons: Robert (Candace) of Halifax, Joseph A (Louise) of Moncton, Laurie (Louise-Anne) of Atholville; a daughter-in-law, Valery Henri of Moncton; four sisters: Dorice Arsenault-Richard of Worchester, Mass, Adeline Nelly Poirier of Shirley, Mass, Ludivine Arseneau (François) and Ronalda Gallant (Raymond-Guy) of Moncton: three brothers: Eulysse (Josephine) Worchester Mass, Abraham (Anna) Sturbridge, Mass, Eve (Patricia) of Moncton; 28 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; many several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edouard Henri (1981); her second husband, Fidele Aucoin (1996); two sons: Valeri and infant Maurice; two sisters, Anise Bourque, Florida Thebeau; two brothers Euclide and infant Valeri; grandchildren: Jean Maurice, Serge and Martine. Dorina was a good mother and loved her children, she was an active member of Rogerville Parish, volunteered at Saint Vincent Paul and Food Bank Rogersville., organized activities at the Golden Age Club in Rogersville, enjoyed knitting and quilting. Her idol was Mgr. Francois Richard and you know why she died on 15th of August (Acadien Day). We, the children, are grateful to the Villa Du Repos for the excellent care given to our mother and respect to her children.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame de Grace, Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Tuesday, August 19th at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Dorina, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
