Catherine Ann (Bolger) Farrell passed away on August 15, 2014. She will be forever missed by James Farrell, her husband of 51 years; her six children, Helen (Gerry) Brennan, Laura (Dale Lyttle), Dody (James Smith), Joanne (Jim) Wetteroff, Dr. Jim Farrell, and Krista (Patrick) Thompson; her six grand-daughters, Maura, Hannah, Marin, Rowan, Bridget and Elizabeth; her sister, Helen (Damian) Ryan; her brothers, Arthur (Ann) Bitsack and Patrick (Lynn) Bolger. She loved her family. Catherine was an educator, in the classroom for thirty years and in life every day. She was a voracious reader, an avid quilter, and could light up the room with her personality and her sense of humor. Catherine got her strength from her faith and as a result was able to be a pillar for her family. Her absence will be felt forever, but her family's memories will remain strong and provide them comfort. Catherine's family extends a very special thank you to the amazing doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's. Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman's Funeral Home in Marystown, on Monday, August 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 19, at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Parish Roman Catholic Church in Marystown. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay. In Catherine's memory donations may be made to St. Bonaventure's College, 2A Bonaventure Ave., St. John's, NL A1C 6B3 or flowers gratefully accepted.
