The death of Mrs. Clarisse McGrath, wife of the late Adelard McGrath of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the age of 88. Born in Neguac, NB, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Adeline (Cool) Robichaud. Clarisse was a homemaker, member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, and over the years has been a member of the Newcastle Senior Citizen’s Group, Ladies Auxillary Branch # 10 Newcastle and St. Mary’s Prayer Group.
Clarisse is survived by: two daughters: Stella Flieger (Ian) of Miramichi, NB; Anne McGrath (Bob Esligar) of Fredericton, NB; two sons: Nicholas (Gloria) of Beaverbrook, NB; Lawrence (Claire) of Quispamsis, NB; two brothers: Armand (Elmina) of Bartibog, NB; George (Emelia); one sister: Theresa Robichaud (Arthur) and one brother in law: Samuel Savoie all of Neguac, NB; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Clarisse is predeceased by: sisters: Stella and Leonie and brother: Louis.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 AM with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery later in the spring.
In Clarisse’s memory, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Capital Campaign, Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetic Association.
